A Rich Dude Got Married Yesterday
Mark Zuckerberg is quite the busy man: the guy turned 28 last Monday, Facebook went public at $38/share on Friday, his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan graduated from UCSF and on Saturday afternoon, he got married.
According to the Associated Press, “[t]he couple married at his Palo Alto, Calif. home in front of fewer than 100 stunned guests who thought they would be attending a party to celebrate Chan’s graduation from medical school.” I give him props for having a small, intimate wedding ceremony - that is how I envision my special day. Over-the-top weddings stress me out, knowing that the money could go to something far more useful. (Sorry to be judgmental, but blowing 12K on a dress just seems like a poor investment, but I digress….)
ON HER: While a lot of photos are not available to the public, from what I saw, Priscilla’s dress is simply elegant. The understated lace detail on her veil rightly complemented the sheer floral lace of her dress; its neckline, especially is my favorite part. Overall, the dress was tasteful and put a fun twist on a ‘traditional’ fabric.
ON HIM: It’s nice to see Mark wearing something other than a blue or black hoodie. His navy suit looks nice, though I think it would have looked more put together if he had buttoned the jacket. (I hate when I can see a man’s belt!) Also, the length of the tie bothers me for some odd reason.
Congrats, you crazy ‘kids’! Techie love is a beautiful thang.
